LONGBRANCH COMMUNITY CHURCH
Vision Statement
God's people growing in faith and love,
encouraging each other, serving community in the
name of Jesus Christ.
Purpose Statement
We are an inter-denominational community church
which honors and celebrates diverse Christian faith
traditions.
We are called to worship, witness, affirm and live the teachings of
Christ.
ARTICLE IV -STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that the Church is a fellowship of
like-minded persons joined together for worship and
service.
We believe in individual liberty in the realm of
thought and speech for every person, and we seek to
encourage every member to exercise such self
discipline and integrity as a prerequisite to the
discovery of truth and the attainment of spiritual
maturity.
We believe that there is, in the world, a Power that
works for righteousness, whom we call God. We
believe that God is the Father of all humankind, is
infinite in truth, wisdom, power and love; the
source of all goodness, beauty, truth and love,
whose mercy is over all His works and whose will is
ever directed toward His children’s good.
We believe that in Jesus, God manifested Himself in
the flesh as our Lord, Savior, Teacher, Example and
the revealer of life’s MEANING AND PURPOSE.
We believe in the forgiveness of sins; in the life
of love and prayer, and in the Grace of God equal to
humanity’s every need.
We believe in the Divine Holy Spirit, God within us,
for guidance, comfort and strength.
We believe that God speaks to us primarily in the
Holy Bible but also through the world of nature,
history, human personalities and all great
literature and through the still small voice within
us.
We believe that our faith in God and His Son Jesus
Christ shall manifest itself in the service of love
as set forth in the example of our Lord and Savior
not only in our family life but in our relationships
with all persons.
